The East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention

(ECBACC)

Pronounced: “EKBOK”

Founded A.D. 2002

Greetings, ECBACC Supporters!

On the behalf of the ECBACC Executive Board, ECBACC STARS, ECBACC Synergy Group and ECBACC Publications, I would like to sincerely thank all of those who supported the 7th Annual East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention and made it the success that it was! Since May 2002, we have provided a unique space for talented men and women to discuss, articulate and develop their artistic and creative vision. Each year has been progressively better because of your support.

Special thanks must be given to our ECBACC Pioneer Award recipient, Nichelle Nichols, whose graciousness is unparalleled; Nell Wilson (aka Fat Momma!) whose enthusiasm and affinity for the welfare of children was felt by all; and Ashley Woods who was this year’s ECBACC celebrated artist!

Each represented well and exemplified this year’s ECBACC theme: Celebrating Black Women in Comics.

Thanks to Rahnda Rize, Mark Hair, Asli Dukan, Richard Tyler, Smoke, Dawud Anyabwile, Mshindo I, Rich Watson, The Gritz ‘n’ Gravy Crew, Bro. Gregory Walker (aka Bro. G.), E. Steven Harris,   Night Seeker, and the many others who are not mentioned herein, but who have sparked us already to prepare for the 8th Annual ECBACC, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2009!

Until then!
